Meals for 2021-2022 School Year

Free Meals for students during the 2021-2022 SY- Due to a recent USDA waiver, all students will receive free meals during the 2021-2022 SY


Free and Reduced Meal Applications- Free and Reduced meal applications are not required to be completed to receive free school meals for the 2021-2022 SY. Free or Reduced meal status, determined by a FARMS application or Direct Certification by the SC Department of Education, is a requirement to receive the Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) cards that will be distributed by the SC Department of Social Services to eligible families during the school year. Questions regarding P-EBT cards should be directed to the South Carolina Department of Social Services at 800-554-5268 or by email at [email protected]  Paper FARMS applications will be available at schools by August 2, 2021. Online FARMS applications are currently available on the FANS website https://gcsfans.com/


Meals for Virtual Program Students- Virtual program students may receive meals each day by pre-ordering them one business day in advance from the cafeteria manager at their assigned school. FANS managers will work with school administration to determine the appropriate meal pick up times. Proof of GCS enrollment will be required to receive meals.

Our 750 highly trained and dedicated foodservice professionals serve over 13.5 million nutritious and delicious school meals each year to over 75,000 Greenville County Schools students in 100 school facilities and special centers

 All schools serve breakfast and lunch on a daily basis. After school snacks are also provided at several locations.
